Open since October 2010 and situated in the centre of Saarbrücken, the Europa-Galerie has a total of 25.000 m² of space, with 110 stores, cafés and restaurants spread over 3 floors. The beautiful original facade of the historic former mining direction has been preserved and integrated into the design of the shopping centre. It has its own parking tower with 4 levels and a capacity for up to 1.050 cars (entrance/exit via helical access ramp). The glass roof, as well as rectangular and circular glass elements above the escalators, creates a light-infused interior. Cast-iron staircases can be found on both ends of the building.
