conceived by a local architect named Heinrich Güth and erected between 1894 and 1898, neo-Gothic St. John´s was the second Protestant church to be built in the city of Saarbrücken. From an architectural perspective, St. John´s Church forms a perfectly harmonious ensemble with the ornate building across the street: Rathaus St. Johann (Saarbrücken´s city hall, designed by Georg J. von Hauberisser) is also featured in the Location Guide
