brief description:
the willow dome is the Saarland's largest living building, a cupola construction with a diameter of 10 metres. 400 willows and 300 birch trees were used to form a natural roof, however, leaving an unobstructed view of the sky. The willow dome is idyllically situated on the hilltop of the Litermont, surrounded by a vast forest. The 9 main rods or columns have been placed in such a way as to form 9 entrance portals. Since the willow dome has also been dedicated to wedding ceremonies, many couples use this exceptional romantic spot to tie the knot.

coming on the A8, take exit no. 12 (Nalbach) and follow the bypass road 269, direction Nalbach. Once you get to Nalbach, Saarwellingerstraße and Hubertusstraße will lead to the center of town. On Hubertusstraße, turn right onto Düppenweilerstraße, direction Düppenweiler. On the L346, approximately half way between Nalbach and Düppenweiler, turn right onto a dirt road and follow the signposts indicating Litermont, Grauer Stein. From the parking lot, follow the signposts indicating the footpath
