the Galgenberg Tower in Spiesen-Elversberg was built between 1937 and 1939 and measures 17 metres in height. The municipal landmark is situated in a recreational area named Galgenberg (Gallows Hill) at an altitude of 356 metres. The observation deck offers a wonderful panoramic view of the surroundings. car:

coming from Saarbrücken, you can reach the Galgenberg Tower by taking the A623 motorway (direction Friedrichsthal), then changing onto the A8 motorway (direction Neunkirchen). Leave the A8 at junction 21 (Elversberg). Turn right onto highway L112 and enter the town of Elversberg. At the roundabout, take the second exit. After a few metres, just before the sharp right-hand bend, turn left onto Neunkircher Straße (highway L285). Take the second right onto Alter Markt. At the next intersection, turn left and follow Beethovenstraße all the way to the end of the street. You will have reached the Galgenbergturm after approx. 20 m
